What were the great new ostomy products of 2014?
Coloplast finalized their new Brava ostomy accessory line (most notably their variations on the elastic barrier ring), Safe n Simple also expanded their ostomy accessory line, and finally Nu-Hope Laboratories introduced a new ostomy appliance belt called the Nu-Comfort Belt. These three new products and lines have helped fill a gap that was not previously there for ostomates.
We are excited to see what new ostomy products will be introduced in 2015!
This summer ConvaTec finally introduced their version of Hollister's Floating Flange. The Accordion flange with Moldable Tecnhology will be compatible with their SUR-FIT Natura line which should prove to be very popular. The idea of this type of flange is to make the part that seals with the pouch lift up and off of the skin allowing the fingers to get behind the section and make pouch application easier and much more comfortable. We are excited that ConvaTec decided to make this item available to its customer base!
