Joanna Burgess, RN, CWOCN was honored as 2012's Great Comebacks® National Award recipient at the the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses (WOCN) Society 44th Annual Conference in Charlotte, NC. The ceremony now in its 27th year of honoring inspiring individuals working to help others get the most out of life after ostomy surgery. Burgess had urostomy surgery over 40 years ago and also has a colostomy. She travels abroad providing care with special interest for patients with an ostomy. Congratulations Joanna!!!
